- Sources are used in that order — the manufacturer first, then regulatory records, then retailers — and a claim only counts as the brand’s when the brand is the one making it.
- Formula readings are derived from that ingredient list by a fixed rule set — the same one the consultation uses to match products to people.
- Cost per ounce is computed from dated price observations and compared only against products of the same type and size class.
