Apply finishing serum or oil to ends
For dry ends that need a light finishing touch. Spreading your selected serum or oil over your hands first helps you smooth a small amount onto the tips without leaving a concentrated patch.

Step by step
STEP 1 OF 4Check the label and dispense
- Start with fully dry hair. Check that your label permits a leave-in finish on dry ends and follow its amount, order and frequency.
- Wash and dry your hands. Dispense the label-appropriate starting amount into one palm, then put the bottle on a reachable counter.
STEP 2 OF 4Spread a thin film over your hands
- With the bottle down, lightly rub your palms together to spread the product over your palms and fingers.
- Keep the product spread out rather than leaving one concentrated bead ready to land on the hair.
STEP 3 OF 4Smooth the selected tips
- Bring a loose bundle forward over one shoulder. Support the ends with one hand and lightly smooth the other over the tips.
- For curls or coils, lightly press the tips between relaxed hands without raking them apart. Move other reachable lengths forward as needed.
STEP 4 OF 4Release the ends and stop
- Let the ends fall and check the finish. Stop when they have the light finish you wanted; do not add more over a wet patch or heavy clump.
- Do not use empty hands as your dose target. Wash off leftover product, close the bottle and leave the compatible finisher in.
About 30–60 sec hands-on for dispensing, spreading over selected dry ends and hand cleanup. Prior styling and drying are separate.
You’re done when…
The selected ends have the light finish you wanted, without a visible bead, wet patch or heavy clump. Stop applying, even if a little product remains on your hands; wash it off instead of loading the hair.
