Set curls with flexi rods
Choose flexi rods when you want a spiral no-heat setting pattern with a fastener built into each bendable rod. The wrap and bend differ from a conventional roller set.

Step by step
STEP 1 OF 4Prepare reachable sections
- Start with damp, detangled loose hair and choose rods the hair can wrap around smoothly.
- Clip most hair aside and bring one section forward where both hands can reach it.
STEP 2 OF 4Wrap the section
- Lay the tips smoothly over one end of the rod and hold them with your fingertips.
- Turn the rod so the rest of the section spirals along it without crossing over itself.
STEP 3 OF 4Bend the rod to hold
- Stop before the root feels tight, then bend one rod end inward.
- Support the wrap while bending the other end; keep nearby loose hair out of the folds.
- Repeat the prepare, wrap and bend steps until every intended section is on a comfortable rod.
STEP 4 OF 4Dry and unwind
- Wait until the root and inner wraps are dry, checking one rod before taking down the rest.
- Straighten the rod ends, support the section and reverse the wrap without pulling the rod through it.
- After all rods are out, arrange the dry curls lightly with your fingers and collect every rod and sectioning clip.
About 30–75 min hands-on for dividing, wrapping a full flexi-rod set, securing and later unwinding it. Start with damp, detangled hair. Add complete drying and breaks.
You’re done when…
All rods are straightened and removed without snagging, and each section was dry at the root and through the wrap before release.
