Put your hair up with a claw clip
Hold dry loose hair up off the neck with a claw clip.

Step by step
STEP 1 OF 3Gather low at the nape
- Put the claw clip within easy reach. Use both hands to gather dry loose hair into a low bundle at the nape.
- When one hand can hold the bundle, pick up and open the clip with the free hand. Keep the bundle loose enough that your scalp and neck feel comfortable.
STEP 2 OF 3Fold upward and close the clip
- Fold the gathered hair upward against the back of the head. Hold the fold with one hand while the other opens the clip wide.
- Place the clip around the fold and let it close only when its teeth hold hair without pinching.
STEP 3 OF 3Open before taking it out
- Support the folded hair at its base with one hand. With the other, open the clip fully before moving it away.
- Lift the open clip clear of the fold; do not slide closed teeth down through the hair.
About 15–60 sec hands-on for gathering and folding dry hair, closing a claw clip and later removing it. Wear time is separate; detangling and elaborate styling are not included.
You’re done when…
The folded hair is held by the clip without painful pressure, and the clip can be opened fully for removal.
