Put on and remove a glueless wig
Put on a fitted removable wig without glue, adjust it using the cap’s sturdy edges and check that it feels comfortable. Release any built-in clips before lifting it off.
Step by step
STEP 1 OF 6Check the cap before putting it on
- Start with a dry wig that has already been fitted for glueless wear. Check the cap, straps and fasteners for damage.
- Set adjustable straps while the wig is off your head. Identify the front, nape, ear tabs and any clips using its fitting instructions.
- If you have hair, arrange it loosely and evenly underneath. Use a liner only if needed and compatible with this wig.
STEP 2 OF 6Guide the cap over your head
- Hold the sturdy nape edges with both hands, with the opening facing you. Keep your fingers away from delicate lace.
- Set the front near its intended hairline, then guide the cap back over your head. Keep your ears outside the cap.
STEP 3 OF 6Adjust with the ear tabs
- Use the small tabs just in front of your ears to make gentle, even adjustments. Follow the wig’s intended front position.
- Keep fingers out from under the lace and do not stretch it. Secure any built-in fasteners using the wig’s instructions.
STEP 4 OF 6Lower your hands and check the fit
- Turn your head gently with your hands lowered. Check the front, ears and nape for pinching or pulling.
- If it slips or presses, remove it and check for bunched hair, a folded liner or a fit problem. Ask the supplier if adjusting the setup does not help.
STEP 5 OF 6Release any built-in clips
- Before lifting the wig, support the cap beside each built-in clip. For a snap-comb clip, hold its ends and gently press the middle to pop it open.
- Free caught hair and check that every clip has released. Follow the wig’s instructions for other fasteners; if it has no hair clips, skip this step.
STEP 6 OF 6Lift off by the sturdy cap sides
- Hold the sturdy sides with both hands and lift the wig clear. Stop and free any caught hair instead of pulling.
- Set it on its suitable stand or clean storage surface. Remove any liner or grip separately and put loose accessories away.
One application and later removal; washing, hair preparation and fitting a new wig are separate.
You’re done when…
The cap sits evenly with ears free and no pinching or pulling. For removal, all fasteners release before the cap lifts clear.
