Make a loose bun
Gather dry loose hair into a comfortable low bun.

Step by step
STEP 1 OF 3Gather a low ponytail
- With both hands, gather dry loose hair into a low ponytail at the nape. Keep a soft fabric-covered tie ready on one wrist.
- Hold the ponytail without tightening at the scalp; reposition if you feel pulling.
STEP 2 OF 3Make a loose coil
- Twist the ponytail loosely, then guide it around its base into a low coil. Keep one hand on the coil while the other brings the tie around it.
- Use the tie only as tightly as needed to hold the coil. Leave the bun loose enough to stay comfortable.
STEP 3 OF 3Unwrap the tie before removal
- Support the bun with one hand. With the other, unwind each turn of the soft tie until its loop is wide.
- Guide the widened loop over the supported coil without snagging, then let the coil unwind.
About 30 sec–2 min hands-on for gathering and securing one loose bun, then later undoing it. Start with dry, detangled hair; wear time is separate.
You’re done when…
The loose bun is held with a soft tie without painful pressure, and the tie can be fully opened for removal.
