Clean removable clip-in extensions
Wash removable human-hair wefts individually, then dry their hair, seams and clips fully before storing them.

Step by step
STEP 1 OF 3Separate and brush the wefts
- Remove every weft from your hair. Check the supplier’s fiber, seam, clip and cleanser instructions before wetting.
- Hold one weft firmly at its seam and brush dry ends gently; move upward only when snags release.
- Lay the pieces separately on a clean towel. Fill a clean basin with lukewarm water and mix in the supplier-directed amount of compatible shampoo.
STEP 2 OF 3Wash one weft at a time
- Support the weft at its top and move the lengths gently through the wash water; do not scrub or rub them together.
- Clean the seam and clips only in the way their supplier permits. Rinse the lengths thoroughly, then lay the piece on a towel to apply conditioner.
- Apply compatible conditioner only where permitted, wait its directed dwell and rinse thoroughly. Repeat for each weft.
STEP 3 OF 3Dry flat and store
- Press excess water out gently, then spread wefts flat on a clean dry towel without stacking or twisting.
- Let the hair, seams and clips dry completely; change a wet towel if needed. Once fully dry, support the seam and gently brush from the ends upward.
- Close dry clips and store the pieces neatly in their case. Clean the basin and wash used towels.
About 20–40 min hands-on for detangling, washing, conditioning and rinsing a set of clip-in wefts, then cleanup and storage. Add conditioner dwell and complete air-drying.
You’re done when…
Each weft is clean and completely dry through its seam and clips before stacking, closing or storage.
