Apply a rinse-out mineral-removal treatment

Dissolve a labeled cosmetic crystal treatment, distribute it through wet hair and finish its rinse-and-wash sequence.

Smoothing dissolved treatment through wet lengths while supporting the ends.

Step by step

  1. Rubbing a labeled dissolved crystal treatment with water in a cupped palm.
    STEP 1 OF 3

    Prepare the labeled treatment

    • Read all packet directions, including any instructions for white, unpigmented or color-treated hair. Set shampoo and conditioner within reach.
    • Shampoo and rinse as directed. Keep your hair wet and bring reachable lengths forward.
    • Pour the directed treatment into a wet palm; put the packet down, then rub palms together with the directed water until dissolved.
  2. Smoothing dissolved treatment through wet lengths while supporting the ends.
    STEP 2 OF 3

    Distribute and time

    • Work the dissolved treatment through one wet section at a time, gently cupping and pressing it through the lengths.
    • Use the label’s placement and amount; keep it out of your eyes and do not scrub your scalp.
    • Start the directed dwell when application is complete. Leave hair loose, without added heat or an improvised mixture.
  3. Rinsing a supported section with water visibly flowing through the hair.
    STEP 3 OF 3

    Rinse and finish the wash

    • Rinse under running water, separating sections with your fingers so water reaches the treated hair.
    • Complete the label’s following shampoo and rinse, including any extra wash required for your hair color.
    • Apply and rinse the directed conditioner. Rinse your hands, wipe any spilled treatment and leave the floor dry.

About 15–25 min hands-on for initial shampoo, mixing and applying the packet, rinsing, follow-up shampoo, conditioning and cleanup. Add every label-directed dwell; later drying is separate.

Practical editorial estimate, not measured. The guide includes several wash and rinse steps; extra label-required washes or dense hair can take longer.

You’re done when…

The treatment has been rinsed out and its complete shampoo-and-condition sequence is finished. Hair feel alone cannot confirm mineral removal.
