Wash removable foam roller sleeves

Use this method only when your roller instructions explicitly allow the foam sleeve to be removed and washed. Keep any heating base completely separate from the wet cleaning area.

Step by step

  1. An adult separates a removable foam sleeve from a cooled roller core over a dry towel.
    STEP 1 OF 3

    Separate only removable parts

    • Read the roller care instructions. Unplug any heating set, let every part cool and leave the electrical base away from the cleaning area.
    • Release the designated cap or fastener and slide off the foam sleeve as directed. Stop if it is glued, tears or will not come free easily.
  2. An adult gently washes a detached foam roller sleeve in a small bowl, with its core kept dry on a towel.
    STEP 2 OF 3

Wash, rinse and blot the sleeves

    • Use the permitted mild cleanser and water temperature. Gently work the wash water through the detached foam without scrubbing or twisting it.
    • Rinse thoroughly until cleanser is gone. Press the sleeve lightly inside a towel to remove excess water; do not wring it.
  3. An adult supports a fully dry reassembled foam hair roller and checks that its end cap is seated.
    STEP 3 OF 3

    Dry through and reassemble

    • Lay sleeves separately with air around them. Clean cores or fasteners only as their own instructions allow. Wait until every part is fully dry.
    • Slide dry foam back onto its correct core and replace the cap or fastener as directed. Check that it seats properly; do not use torn foam or damaged parts.

A small batch of removable sleeves, excluding drying time.

Unmeasured editorial handling estimate for the stated scope. Familiarity, access and the item or hair being handled change the time.

You’re done when…

The rinsed sleeves and allowed cleaned parts are fully dry, correctly reassembled and checked for damage before reuse.
