Brush hair from clipper blades

Clear visible clippings after using your own clippers so they are ready for the next maintenance step. Use this for reachable exterior parts that the manual permits you to brush.

Step by step

  1. Hands remove a clipper guard from a cool disconnected clipper on a dry cloth.
    STEP 1 OF 3

Switch off and expose permitted parts

    • Switch off the clipper, unplug or disconnect its charger, and let the blades cool. Place it on a clean dry cloth away from water.
    • Read its cleaning instructions. Remove a snap-on guard only as directed; leave blade screws and the electrical housing alone.
  2. One hand holds a switched-off clipper while the other brushes loose hair from its accessible blades.
    STEP 2 OF 3

    Brush out visible clippings

    • Hold the handle securely with the teeth pointing away from your fingers. Use the supplied cleaning brush on the accessible blade surfaces.
    • Brush loose hairs out of the spaces without forcing the bristles or scraping the cutting edges with another tool. Brush the removed guard separately.
  3. Hands gather loose clippings from a dry cloth after brushing the clipper.
    STEP 3 OF 3

    Finish the directed maintenance

    • Gather the clippings from the cloth and discard them. Check for damaged or loose parts; do not use the tool if you find them.
    • Follow the manual for any further cleaning and oiling. Once ready and dry, replace the guard or blade cover as directed and store the tool.

Removing visible clippings from one clipper and its removable guard, plus tabletop cleanup. Deeper cleaning, disinfection and oiling are separate manual-directed tasks.

Unmeasured editorial handling estimate for the stated scope. Familiarity, access and the item or hair being handled change the time.

You’re done when…
