Apply a leave-in bond-care treatment
Apply a compatible bond-care treatment after shampooing, and leave it undisturbed for its full labeled waiting period.

Step by step
STEP 1 OF 3Shampoo and blot
- Check that your label specifies shampoo without conditioner first. Follow its cleansing directions and rinse well.
- Blot gently with a clean towel until hair is damp rather than dripping. Keep conditioners and stylers aside for now.
- Divide lengths into reachable portions with your fingers; put the treatment and a timer on the counter.
STEP 2 OF 3Distribute the treatment
- Dispense only the label’s amount, spread it between your palms and put the container down.
- Work through the ends and lengths as directed, reaching inside each portion without pulling tangles.
- Stop at the label’s placement boundary; this is hair treatment, not an instruction to rub product into your scalp.
STEP 3 OF 3Wait before adding anything
- Leave the treatment undisturbed for its full label-defined dwell. Do not rinse, comb or add other products during that wait.
- When the wait is complete, follow the label for gentle combing, any later conditioner and styling.
- Keep the treatment in your hair as directed. Wash your hands, close the container and clean the counter.
About 6–12 min hands-on for shampooing, rinsing, blotting, treatment application and cleanup. Add the label's undisturbed dwell. Later conditioner, styling and drying are separate.
You’re done when…
The required wait has finished and the treatment remains in the hair; later products are added only when its directions allow.
