Apply a cosmetic scalp serum along parts
For a routine that includes a leave-on scalp moisturizer. Opening small parts helps you place it on the skin beneath your hair while keeping most of it off the lengths.

Step by step
STEP 1 OF 4Prepare and open one part
- Check your label and start with clean hair in its stated dry or damp condition. Wash your hands and set the bottle beside a stable mirror.
- With the bottle down, use your fingertips to separate a small front or side part until you can see the skin. Do not drag through tangles.
STEP 2 OF 4Place serum on the exposed scalp
- Hold the part open with one hand. Use the other to bring the original dropper or nozzle above the visible skin.
- Dispense a portion of the label’s total amount onto that part. Keep the tip off the skin; do not drag it through the hair.
STEP 3 OF 4Move to the next intended area
- Put the applicator back in its bottle before freeing both hands to open the next part.
- Use the mirrors to view each intended area. Keep your neck comfortable and change hands as needed; stop adding serum at the label’s total amount.
STEP 4 OF 4Spread gently and finish
- Put the bottle down. Use relaxed finger pads to spread the serum as the label directs, without scratching or vigorous rubbing.
- Remove any clips, cap the bottle and wash your hands. Leave the serum in and follow the label for styling or the next wash.
About 2–5 min hands-on for opening reachable parts, dispensing, spreading and hand cleanup. Prior washing or drying to the label's starting state is separate.
You’re done when…
You have worked through the label-directed areas once, spread the applied serum as directed and stopped at the label’s total amount. The applicator is capped and your hands are clean; no extra coating or tingling is a goal.
