When styling product leaves you guessing, work within its directions and assess one section first. This is a practical amount check, not a skin test or permission to exceed a specified dose.

Step by step

    Check whether the amount is flexible

    • Read the product directions. Use this check only if they allow a small starting amount and reapplication. Prepare the stated hair condition.
    • Select one section you can reach and take the smallest amount within the directions. Do not mix products in your palm.

    Distribute before deciding

    • Spread the product between your hands if directed. Support the section and distribute it over the label-approved area.
    • Finish that section before assessing it. If visible product sits on top, do not automatically add another layer.

    Stop at the useful amount

    • Wait through any label-directed settling or drying, then decide whether another permitted small addition is useful.
    • Record what you used and how the section felt. Clean your hands; adjust next time rather than exceeding the label now.
